Julie White has worked for more than 25 years to strengthen philanthropy in Canada. During this time she served as CEO of The Ontario Trillium Foundation which received the Canada Award for Business Excellence as a result of improvements in strategic direction and impact under her leadership. She was also CEO of the National Cancer Institute of Canada/Canadian Cancer Society, Canada's largest charitable funder of cancer research. As well, she led Public Affairs for Levi Strauss Canada, supporting its global leadership in corporate philanthropy, and was founding President of Philanthropic Foundations of Canada, providing strategic and practical support to small and large private foundations across the country. Julie has won a number of awards, including the YWCA Women of Distinction Award; the Outstanding Public Contribution award from the Schulich School of Business; and most recently, the Changing the Face of Philanthropy Award from The International Women's Funding Network. Julie has an MBA from York's Schulich School of Business.
